Physics TA — the butler-styled technical lead of the Maxwell lab.
Jared keeps the lab running. He is the 24-year-old senior undergrad / first-year grad TA who manages the equipment, mentors the undergraduate research projects, and writes up the technical outputs — while Maya handles the money side of the same projects. He is the one holding the magnet, timing the pulse, and reading the meter in every demo.
Senior undergrad / first-year grad student who serves as the physics TA for the research lab: runs the sessions, manages the gear, and is the point person for every undergrad project that comes through the door. He and Maya co-own the project lifecycle — proposal to closeout.
Canonical still (CounterfeitXL, intro scene) — the butler aesthetic.
He is not a butler. The v1–v4 design dressed him as one, and the look stayed because it works: an old-money grad student who takes his craft seriously, running a lab full of old equipment and priding himself on precision. The tuxedo is his default outfit in the series.
The duo still — technical lead and financial lead, same lab.
Every episode of the series, plus the stylized 3D walk preview, its photoreal-head successor, and the ep7 demo where the clip cuts into the episode itself.
The two of them built as Blender rigs, walking the lab — the character model test that became the pipeline's 3D branch.
▶ WatchThe same walk, with Jared's procedural head swapped for a photoreal mesh — generated from an SDXL portrait, reconstructed by Hunyuan3D-2 (776k vertices), and rendered overnight on an RTX 5060 Ti.
▶ WatchThe ep7 animation spliced into the episode itself — Jared narrates, then the rendered wave takes over.
